I live in a city. There are street lights everywhere. I generally don’t notice them. I notice them, however, when they are missing on a dark street. They are silent guardians, watching over kids playing in a park or standing on sidewalks as people go to and fro. When I take a closer look, some lights are the same at different parks and some are styled match to the buildings to which they surround. I choose this portrait style to give them identity and character.
